THE IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY-ASSISTED RECRUITMENT ON HIRING QUALITY AND EFFICIENCY

In this research, the effect of Technology-Assisted Recruitment (TAR) tools in hiring quality and in relation to the level of efficiency was analyzed with reference to Pakistan. A regular use of technology trends in human resource management has enhanced the efficiency of various activities that it performs and the selection of candidates is not an exception. This paper covers several TAR tools namely; ATS, AI, and PA to analyze their impact on time-to-hire, candidate-job fit, and recruitment results. For this study, 50 HR professionals from different organizations of Pakistan were selected by surveying them through a structured questionnaire. Both, inferential and descriptive statistics were used to analyze the collected data. The outcomes show that utilizing TAR tools in recruitment has a positive impact on time reduction, candidate quality and indeed candidates’ experience in the recruitment process. But issues to do with algorithm bias and equal opportunity in recruitment were also raised. Thus, the work concludes that it is necessary to implement the use of TAR tools to optimize the process of recruitment while promoting ethically sound requirements for such systems.
