IMPLEMENTING CHILD PROTECTION PRACTICES IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
Abstract
This study examines the implementation of child protection practices at the elementary school level, emphasizing their importance in fostering a safe and supportive learning environment for young students. With increasing awareness of child safety issues, educational institutions must prioritize policies and procedures that safeguard children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. The research highlights various child protection strategies, including teacher training, awareness programs, and the establishment of reporting mechanisms for suspected abuse. Through qualitative and quantitative analysis, the study assesses the effectiveness of these practices in elementary schools, identifying challenges such as insufficient resources, lack of training, and inadequate communication among stakeholders. The findings underscore the need for comprehensive child protection frameworks that involve educators, parents, and the community to ensure the holistic well-being of children. Ultimately, this research advocates for continuous improvement and monitoring of child protection measures in elementary education, aiming to create a secure environment conducive to learning and development.
